Reaching New Heights in Suiting:
Paul Stuart Spring Summer 2024
Objective:
For Spring/Summer 2025, I wanted to explore the relationship between structure and lightness—how tailoring can feel grounded yet full of motion. This collection called for a campaign that felt both precise and expansive, that celebrated the strength of form while introducing a sense of breath and space.
Concept:
We chose to shoot across New York rooftops, not only for the visual drama but for what that height represents: clarity, perspective, and risk. The city has always shaped Paul Stuart’s identity, but this time we positioned it as a quiet force beneath the collection—present, but not overpowering.
From the outset, I knew I wanted to work with color as a narrative device. The floating fabric elements became a way to introduce energy and rhythm without resorting to anything overly styled or contrived. They also served as a visual counterpoint to the precision of the tailoring—structured garments in motion, suspended in air, in dialogue with the skyline.
Execution:
The creative direction focused on minimal interference. I worked closely with the photographer to maintain a consistent visual language across stills and motion—one that emphasized posture, silhouette, and environment over overt styling. Every detail was considered, but nothing needed to shout.
This approach allowed the collection to speak for itself. The garments moved naturally in the wind, the lighting was clean and true, and the mood remained open and composed throughout. It was important to me that the models appear assured, not performative—that they held presence without pushing for impact.
Outcome:
This campaign reflects a refined shift in how we present modern suiting. It honors the discipline and detail that define Paul Stuart, but with a lighter touch—more air, more sky, more room to interpret.
By working at elevation—visually and conceptually—we reinforced the confidence and elegance that sit at the heart of the brand. This wasn’t about reinvention. It was about showing how classic form continues to evolve when given the right context.
